It’s a frequency around here for a week or so. Prince Harry 1 will deploy 2 with his regiment 3 to Southern Iraq that deployment 4 would probably happen in May or June of this year and comes ironically is, the British is preparing to pull out in fact, 50 or 60 hundred of them will be heading in opposite direction as Harry moves in.

The Prince is always described this as part of his desire, described his willingness, even his desire to going into Iraq as part of just being a normal solider, just to be treated like one of the boys as he puts, and as he put it in his own colloquial 6 words he didn’t want to spend all that time in centers to be left behind while the people he had trained with, and the ones he has been trained to lead in fact head often to danger.

But his deployment raises a whole bunch of issues which the British military has had to grapple with in making this decision; the primary one of those has to do with the fact that Prince Harry is who he is. The third in line to the throne, not so much in terms of protecting the heir to the British throne. His brother of course Prince William is the heir ahead of him.

But in terms of the kind of profile that he has himself or will have himself in Iraq and the kind of danger that profile might put not only him but those soldiers who are with him in. Harry’s part of reconnaissance unit of four armored vehicles he commences that his unit which has been trained to probe deep ahead of British positions.

Eh, it’s very likely that his unit will assigned to patrolling the Iraq Iran order, over which there is a great deal of smuggling 7 traffic—traffic, it’s a dangerous place. A lot of that having to do with the weapon uranium explosives that have been brought into Iraq from Iran. That is not going to be a safe place to be, it’s also very much the fact that Harry’s deployment to Iraq is now worldwide news everybody knows, knows he is going , including the people who might want to do him harm . When he shows up there, the idea of a British patrol running across the horizon will of course, perhaps to raise even more interests than it would otherwise have done, simply because that might have a royal Prince of the British royal family as part or leading that patrol. The whole world does know he would be there the whole country here knows now that he will be there.

It does in a way, in a very kind of ironical 5 way bringing the royal family though close to the people. Because among those who will now be worrying, the parents and the grand parents, service personnel deployed 8 in a very dangerous place, is now the queen of England. I’m Mark Phillips.
