A federal appeals panel decided 2 it wants to rule on the constitutionality of the state's gay marriage ban before same-sex couples can resume getting married. Gay couples will have to wait until December at the earliest to get married in the state.


 


3. The federal government will review a weekend accident in an off-road race in California's Mojave Desert that killed eight spectators. Eight people died, 12 were hurt, when an off-road truck flipped 3 and landed on spectators. The focus is on the race promoters and just how close the fans were to the course.


 


4. And a Colorado teen was just washing her mom's car when she says she was struck by lightning. Fourteen-year-old Savannah Vowers said she was standing 4 in a puddle 5 of water when the bolt hit the ground. She left the hospital with only minor 6 injuries.
