DIALOG 1 37

AFTER THE GAME

laurance--Did 2 you watch the game last night?
soony--I sure did.I wouldn't have missed it for anything!
laurance--I think it was 3 one of the best games I've ever 4
seen 5.
soony--Me too.I thought 6 both teams played super ball.Too
bad one had 7 to lose 8.
laurance--Yeah.I thought they were evenly 9 matched.It could 10
have gone either 11 way!
soony--That shot 12 that won 13 in the last fifteen seconds was
really something.

===========================================================
注解:

1)I wouldn't...for anything.此句是虚拟语气。
for anything=no matter what had happened.
2)played super ball:球踢得好极了。
3)evenly matched:势均力敌。match是“相匹配”之意。
4)It could have gone either way.=Either team could have won or lost.
It指的是球赛的结果。因为实际上输赢已定,所以此句用了虚拟语气,
反映说话人的看法而已。
5)really someting:意思是“非同寻常的事情。”
