Todd: OK, so Nanju, I'm going to ask you about things that people are sometimes afraid of. Are you afraid of flying?

Nanju: No

Todd: No. Do you fly a lot?

Nanju: No, if I am getting opportunity I will be very happy.

Todd: Really!

Nanju: Yeah sure!

Todd: OK, are you afraid of snakes?

Nanju: No.

Todd: No!

Nanju: No.

Todd: Now, India has cobras.

Nanju: Yeah, it's a lot of cobras. I have seen a lot of cobras, and fighting with cobras, each other, but run away so I can not.

Todd: So, you're not afraid of cobras?

Nanju: No

Todd: Like have you ever seen a cobra by your house?

Nanju: Yeah, I have seen a lot of cobras, which is going to be 12 feet.

Todd: Really!

Nanju: Yeah, sure.

Todd: And your not afraid?

Nanju: No, I will get some sticks and go through about from my home or something.

Todd: So you get a stick and you go and kill it?

Nanju: No, I won't kill it. Killing 1 of cobra is very illegal in India. Not illegal, it's like god, so we won't.

Todd: Sin 2. It's a sin. Oh, wow.

Nanju: So we won't kill that cobra or something.

Todd: Wow, very fascinating. Thank you.

Learn Vocabulary from the lesson
flying

Are you afraid of flying?

In this case "flying" is not flying like a bird, but rather traveling by plane.  Notice the following:

Are you flying to Miami or driving?
I am flying to Bogota early tomorrow morning.
opportunity

If I get the opportunity to fly I will be very happy.

In this example, "opportunity" can be replaced by "chance" or it is a good situation to do something.  Notice the following:

She has the opportunity to learn a lot in her job.
His boss gave him the opportunity to work with the company's most important client 3.
sure

Yeah, sure.

In the example, "sure" has a similar meaning to "of course" or "yes."  It is a word of agreement.  Notice the following:

Sure.  I'll help you study for your exam.
Sure.  We would love to come to your cabin 4 this weekend.
each other

I've seen cobras fighting with each other.

"Each other" is a pronoun 5 used, in this example, to describe the actions between one cobra and another.  They are both performing the same action, directed at the other cobra.  Notice the following:

They have liked each other since they were 13 years old.
We looked at each other across the restaurant.
sin

In India it's a sin to kill a cobra.

A "sin" is a moral 6 or religious crime.  For example, killing another person is both a religious crime and a legal crime.  Notice the following:

Do you think telling lies is a sin?
It is a sin to steal from another person.
