A Vietnamese navy plane has spotted 1 a possible debris 2 from the Malaysia Airlines passenger jet that went missing on Saturday. Six Australians were among 239 people on board. Authorities aren't ruling out a terrorist attack. Australia's sending two air force surveillance planes to join in the search.

A fire that's been burning at an Victoria coalmine for more than a month could finally be brought under control today. Smoke and ash from the fire has been causing health alerts in the nearby town of Morwell. Firefighters have spent the night attacking the last major hotspot.
There are reports this morning that West Australia's Treasurer 3 Troy Buswell was involved in a car accident two weeks ago. Mr. Buswell went on leave for health reason shortly after the crash outside his Perth home. Premier 4 Colin Barnett is expected to make a statement later this morning.
A motorcyclist has died in a collision with a car in Melbourne north. The car struck the bike in Greenvale late last night. The rider died at the scene.
And three people remain in hospital, one of them in a critical condition after a horror crash in Victoria's north. Four people died in a head-on collision at Burrumboot on Saturday night.
