Some 61 percent of graduates in China's megacities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, chose to work and live in second- or third-tier cities in 2013.

The report indicates that small cities offer the best job prospects 6 for new graduates, due to their steady demand for talent.
Graduates are not the only ones to have turned to elsewhere as first-tier cities seem to have lost appeal and second-tier cities are taking off.
